and thus, the bacteria grow

Came in to the lab to see if any bacteria was happy about trying to revive them. We made four plates, so there was enough place for failure. One never knows, if I simply break the rules of sterile work, and some bacteria from my hand would grow out instead of the intended E. Coli 🙂

But fortunately, they all seem to be happy and reproducing as expected. One can easily see the stroking patterns as they are forming small colonies along the stroke lines.

Tomorrow, they will face some trauma when we’ll be inserting the the DNA into them that will make them produce fluorescent proteins, that were initially isolated from totally different creatures…
